Explore.
First, we will start by uncovering and processing past experiences and events that shaped who you are. In this phase we will investigate patterns that you may have learned during formative years and understand how that is informing the way you show up in your life, relationships, mental health and wellness today.
-
Insight.
Next, we will gain an understanding, validate and begin to have compassion for the ways the past shows up and impacts you in the here and now. By doing so, we are able to make sense of your current experiences which will help us formulate actionable steps to help create positive change.
-
Action.
Finally, with the knowledge and understanding gained, we can learn how to make small shifts both internally and externally in order to live your fullest, happiest life. By utilizing evidenced based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), we will focus on your current thoughts, feelings and behaviors. In doing so, you will learn present focused coping skills, ways to talk to yourself, manage intrusive thoughts and make changes in the present.

Depression is a constant feeling of sadness and loss of interest. You may feel hopeless or stuck and may experience a host of other symptoms such as weight loss or gain, sleep difficulties, a loss of energy and difficulty concentrating.
Depression can arise after one event, such as a break up or loss of job, or it can be something you’ve been struggling with more long term.
Depression can lead you to feeling hopeless, isolated and alone.
The good news is you don’t have to go through this on your own. By using evidenced based methods such as CBT, we can work together to target these negative thoughts and start to create changes in how you feel which will ultimately shift the way you relate and interact in the world.
-
Do you find that you are always comparing yourself to others? Do you struggle to have a clear understanding of who you are? Are you living your life based on other peoples expectations? These are only some of the ways low self esteem and lack of identity show up on an every day basis.
In order to help shift the focus from external to internal, we will focus on understanding your internal narrative and work towards identifying and unlearning some of these long held beliefs you have about yourself.
By creating space, identifying your own wants and needs and getting to know yourself on a deep level, you will be able to live more in line with your values.
This will help you to live your most intentional and authentic life.

Whether you have a desire to meet a romantic partner, understand why similar patterns keep repeating, work though family dynamics, manage and reduce conflict or learn better ways of communicating, therapy can help you cultivate, form and maintain healthier happier relationships in your life.
Understanding yourself, your attachment style and the way you show up in the world can help you to gain insight, identify and change repeated patterns and cycles in your life.
By doing so, you will grow internally as well as in your connection to others.

Times of change can be both challenging and exciting and can involve both positive and negative events. Some examples include but are not limited to:
a graduation, a new job, job loss, getting married, getting divorced, a break up, having a child. I can help you make sense of your current experiences and help you find clarity as transitions arise.

No two people grieve or cope with loss in the same way. Unfortunately, we live in a society that expects us to get right back up after terrible losses and tragedies.
You need time to process, move through pain and loss in a way that is uniquely your own..
Therapy provides an opportunity for you walk through the stages of grief in a safe space, make sense of what happened and express your truest thoughts and feelings during a very difficult and possibly traumatic time.
Some feelings that might come up are sadness, guilt, regret, shock and even happiness. Let’s journey down this path together to help you find peace and understanding.
