Do you offer a free consultation session?
I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to confirm that we are a good fit. During this consultation, I can give you an idea of how we will work together to meet your goals, improve your mood and decrease your current symptoms. This is a good opportunity for you to also ask me about my treatment approach and therapeutic style.
Do you accept insurance?
I am out-of-network with insurance providers. Please kindly contact your insurance provider to see if you have out-of-network benefits and how much your deductible is. I will happily submit your insurance claims for you directly to your insurance, or I can provide you with an invoice for you to submit directly yourself. If you have further questions about this or are wondering what specific questions to ask your insurance company, please do not hesitate to ask.
What is the cancellation policy?
Sessions that are cancelled less than 48 hours in advance will be charged in full. I will make every effort to try to reschedule you within the same week to avoid the cancellation fee, but cannot guarantee.
How long are the sessions? Are they virtual or in person?
For individual therapy, sessions are 45 minutes long. For couples therapy sessions are 60 minutes long. Group therapy is 75 minutes long. I offer in person sessions in midtown Manhattan as well as virtual sessions.
For sessions that are virtual — you will receive a HIPAA compliant video link through a secure platform where we will both be in the same virtual room. Each week you will get a video reminder and a new link to simply click on.
